If you want a great Italian Cooking Recipe for Fettuccini Alfredo that you can make in no time.

Delicious and Easy

I love Fettuccine Alfredo. The thing about it is that it is very rich and definitely fattening. So it’s not something I can eat every day — or even every week. But when I save up enough calorie rewards this is definitely a go to dish for me. Also, instead of Fettuccine you may want to try parppadelle instead. In my opinion parppardelle is a better pasta.

So without further ado — here is your Alfredo recipe.

5 tablespoons of salted butter
A cup and a half of heavy cream.
A pinch of salt.
A pound of pasta — Like I said try Parpardelle
2 Eggs You can Skip these if you wish.
Some good parmesano cheese — About a cup –more if you wish.
Black pepper to taste.
Fresh Copped Parsley – A small bunch.

Step One: Put a large pot of salted water on the stove on high heat.

Step Two: In a large sautee pan, heat your butter and your cream until they are melted.

Step Three: :Toss your pasta in the now boiling salted water — be sure to strir occasionaly to prevent pasta from sticking together.

Step Four: Strain your al’ dente pasta and add it to the pan of butter and cream.. The heast should be on medium.

Step Five: Add your egg yolks (If you wish), grated cheese cheese and ground black pepper.

Step Six: You want to mix your pasta thouroughly making sure to coat it completely with the sauce.

Step Seven: Serve right away sprinkling additional grated cheese on top and some fresh chopped parsley..

If you need to lose weight, but just can't live without your favorite Italian food -- Don't dispare -- You can have your pasta and eat it too.

The holidays are long gone. Valentines day will be here any minute. There is an extra five or ten pounds we picked up along the way and we still haven’t figured out how to loose weight without starving ourselves. I refuse to eat junk diet foods that taste horrible. Or have one of those meal plans delivered to my house. That may be well and good, but it ruins your social life — Trust me.

No, I choose to eat great Italian food (in moderation) and still achieve my goal of loosing those unwanted pounds.
I already know your first question which is ‘Isn’t pasta fattening?” Well yes, if you eat a barrel full of it. Pu a cup or cup and a half a dinner time will be just fine. If you ever have the opportunity to go to Italy. One of the first things you will notice is that there are hardly any fat people walking around. That is because Italians eat a very balance and well rounded diet. Sure they start out with a SMALL Dish of pasta, but they also est a lot of vegetables and proteins all in reasonable portions.
So if you want to loose weight and you want to have a life, do what the Italians do. Eat a great Italian balanced meal. Don’t skimp on what you eat, just moderate the amount of each course. Take a nice half our walk after dinner and you will be amazed at the progress.

Do you know someone who is depressed? I do. Hell almost everyone I know is depressed right now for one reason or another. The economy, the cold weather you name it. This is probably the most depressing time that I can remember in my life. SO what can you do about it? Cheer someone up for crying out loud! The best way to do that is with a great Italian Gift Basket.
Everyone likes to eat. And I have never met anyone who doesn’t like Italian food. So and Italian Gift Basket makes the perfect gift. Who wouldn’t enjoy a nice basket filled with gourmet pasta, tomato sauce, chocolate, cheese, coffee, Italian cookies and desserts all imported from Italy? I know I would.
Lets face it, food gives us comfort. And the king of comfort food in my opinion is Italian Food. So give someone an Italian Gift Basket and cheer them up. For a day or two, it might take their mind off the economy, or the cold weather or their sick loved one or what ever is troubling your friend’s mind.

I love ravioli. It is such a versatel dish — so many different ways to prepare it — And who doesn’t like a good dish of ravioli every now and then. The thing that prevents most of us from preparing ravioli at home is that it is not the easiest thing to make a good pasta dough with the just the right texture and thickness without much hassle and mess. One trick I learned from an Italian restaurant I worked at in Santa Monica is to use Chinese Won-tons. You can buy them in the refrigerated section of most supermarkets. Chinese won-tons are nothing more than fresh pasta squares.

What you do is take out a won-ton, fill it with whatever you are in the mood for and seal it up like you would with normal ravaioli pasta dough using an egg wash to make a tight seal. Drop the ravioli in boiling water and in just a minute or two you will have wonderful ravioli that is light and delicious. I’m telling you, your family and friends will rave.
